I got some Performance Friction 598 size pads about 6 months ago, but don't have the receipt with me and don't remember the company name. PF still doesn't list it on their web site, but these were the correct size for the '96 upgrade. I think I got spoiled by the Panther+ pads I was using before, because I really don't like these -- they stop very poorly when they're cold.

I haven't used the Hawks, but I love my PFCM A rated pads. They have great feel, the price is right, and a lifetime warranty. I have 11.6 in rotors with dual piston PRB calipers and stainless lines (which no doubt aid the pedal feel). The pads give a very nice firm but progressive feel.
