Best Battery...........

i know this has prolly been beatin with a stick a billion times but whats the best battery i can get for the buck, i have a lot of stereo equipement and this stupid Wal-Mart battery isnt cutting it, i loose power alot, i leave a door open for like 5 mins and its dead when i go to start it......ive heard Optima Red|Yellow tops are good then ive heard that Nascar Series Battery from NAPA are ok......but what would give me the most power so i dont have to worry about loosing power? whats the difference between Red|Yellow top Optima's? Which would be better for my setup? PLEASE HELP!

You have a very similar setup as mine, but I only use one sub and one each amp for the sub and speakers. I had problems with the power as well and went through similar problems with battery drain. It wasn't until I realized that I had a power drain somewhere else (cruise control [disconnected it]) and my alternator was somewhat aged (check your output on it) did I realize that my problem wasn't necessarily the battery. I now run 4 Polks, 1 Sub, 2 Amps, 2 Caps, and the assiciated unit/eq/crossovers/changer/ect. with a Sears Die Hard Gold and have yet to notice dimming in my headlights even at extreme sound levels (provided that the car is running ). Don't automatically assume that a bigger/better battery will solve all your problems, expecially with a SHO's "power everything".

That said, a good battery is ALWAYS a good idea for any upgraded audio applications. Ask your local reputable audio shop for what is available in your area, just don't let them talk you into a 500$ lead-acid boat anchor with no implied warranty.

Odyssey PC 925 mounted on its side will fit the factory tray perfectly too. Well heightwise that is.

26lbs get regular terminal not Left Positive. like you would if you get a regular battery for a SHO.

Course might not be enough CCA in the dead of winter, but should be good for anyone in a non super snowy/cold environment

Agreed on the Odyssey series of batteries. If you want serious juice, get two and a battery isolator. Run your stereo gear off the second, isolated, battery. I would do a 925 for the main and a 1200 for the auxiliary.

I'm not familiar with the Odyssey batteries... I am familiar with an Optima Yellow top and it seems to work just fine for me

Go with a deep cell if you will be discharging it a lot (like playing you audio with the car off)

or get a Die Hard if you want a traditional car battery
