I had a friend get me a deal on pads for my '93. The rears were fine but the fronts are wrong. I have part # MKD-421 and the piston on my car seems to be larger than what these pads were made for. What gives!

what you need is the MKD-421A pads.... like lots of ford vehicles the calipers are different for "police" and "non-police" vehicles.... ford used the "police" calipers on our cars and they have a steel piston instead of a phenolic piston...therefore the metal clips on the pads are larger on our pads...

return them for the mkd-421A pads and you should be squared away
