I have some crazy sounds coming from the SHO. I have a 2013 +pp SHO with 70,000 miles. At idle all seems ok, but at 30 mph I hear birds chirping, a slight whistle sound and a vibration like noise. I checked the belt I can see, it is indeed cracked, oddly length wise and is Shiney as polished steel. I can push the belt down easily with my finger. ZSHO sent me a Rockauto link for tensioner but I found this kit where they throw in the belts for like 10 bucks. The kit is GATES ACK060448K2, it contains the idler pulley n 2 belts.
Gates KB4056892 which circumference is 36.25 inches.
Gates K060448 which circumference is 45.375 inches.
And the Gates idler pulley #38485
Can anyone confirm this is the correct parts needed?

I am pretty sure that the SHO's only have one belt. The other Taurus trim levels have two. I think the other is for the water pump? The KO60448 should be the belt you need. The other belt needs one of those special tools for install, since its a stretch fit belt. But you don't need that anyway.

In 2014 at least, the only engine in a Taurus that needs 2 drivebelts is the 2.0L Ecoboost engine (introduced in 2013 in the Taurus). The 3.5 and 3.5 Ecoboost both use only 1 drivebelt. The second belt for the 2.0 EB is used for the A/C compressor, the first runs the alternator and water pump pulley.

So just the idler pulley and the 448 belt? I can only see one belt, I think. Most sites list 2 but not differentiate which for turbo vs non turbo 3.5l.

Would this diagram be the same for a 2013?
