belt tensioner help

belt broke last weekend and dont know why. its only a year old. Anyways bought new belt and lossened screw on top of tens. and it didnt move tried banging and pulling it to no result.oh and its the belt going to the alt.

Im not trying to be an a**...but the first thing I think of is did you loosen the bolt holding the tensioner?

The screw on top moves it into place, but the nut going through the pulley holds it there...loosen that and then loosen the screw.

There's a 5mm allen head bolt that needs to be loosened, clockwise, its on top of the tensioner assembly. Loosen the pulley first though.

thanks for all the help. youre right i didnt loosen the bolt holding the pulley. I dont know much about sho motor. im more familar with my 5.0
