:Flame retardant suit on!:
So, My P.S. was leaking badly.. It was using 1-2 QUARTS! a day.
What size belt will bypass the P.S. pulley?
And, any tips on the routing? I am pretty sure I could figure it out, BUT,
these things always happen in the dark. With a foot of snow on the ground.
So any tips on how to run the belt and LIMP HOME would be very helpful.
Damn....:woohoo::thankyou: I MIGHT have to sell my Ted b. LPM .. Sigh...
Back to crappy shifting again..
EDIT: found leak and fixed... whew...

Don't want to sound like an ass but steering the sho without PS is like asking for an accident.

Ive driven mine without PS and I wont do it again. Both hands is barely enough to turn it when its stopped or slow speeds.

You will break the steering wheel...if you can even manipulate it...

Depending on the cause of the leak, it will probably take less time to fix it than to "rig it up"

The purpose WAS to get it home, IF it broke, not to rig it. :thankyou:
Sorry if I was not clearer...:nut:...................................
ANYWAY, I found the damn leak!!!! Below the T/B, where both cooler lines
are held in that plastic clip... It was a pin hole leak that I found by pulling
on all the lines one at a time while it was running.. The pin hole was UNDER-
NEATH the line, under the clip!!! I yanked on it, and saw a dribble...
Then, I had to walk to Wally-world for a mini-hack and some hose clamps.
So, an hour of work, and minus the hose for my air tank, all is well... sort of...
:hail::hail::hail: Who needs a p.s. cooler in the winter anyway??
Also, if you know how to drive it, no p.s. need not break anything, you need
to be MOVING when you turn, if you just sit in one place and yank on the wheel, yes, you can/will break something... Not recommended, though.

Well, good job. I've been in a similar predicament and I've taken the same action...Thats how I know how heavy the wheel is.

Also, I was fired up a little because I had to push a 94 lebaron from my driveway to my garage this morning...what a bish! Turning, it felt like something was gonna break...and that was about 2 minutes of work. Anyway, I didn't mean to flame...just didn't want to encourage something that was potentially unsafe, for car and driver.
