Behind Dash sensor

Alright I'm just trying to figure out what this is so I can replace it.... I'll do my best to to describe its location.

First it's in 92 mtx

It's on the dash but the back side, it's directly behind the SHO symbol on the dash (above glove box). There is a vent hose running to it and an electrical plug. I accidently broke it when replacing my harness..... Anyways I need to know what it is so I can get another, the tab busted off so it won't clip back in

it's the ambient temp sensor for the EATC system.

Can you buy it new or should I get a used one?

It can be bought new if you desire.

likely a lot cheaper at the j/y, same part on any Taurus / Sable w/ eatc.

I just picked one up for 20$ new
