Want to make sure I'm not missing some other potential issue.... Lost a ton of trans fluid the other day and its coming from the inspection hole in the bell housing, sooooooo I'm assuming it's the torque converter seal...... If it might be something else let's hear it.....

Input shaft seal? Probably not, but it's in that location, too - Right?

These are one in the same. Change it!

Were you doing something to heat up the tranny before it leaked? Some have leaked from overheating and then don't leak again once they are cooled down.

Assume if it over heated the O/D light would have begun to blink... Plus I was only cruising down the tollway doing about 80... I don't trust the overheat no more leak thing, I'm going to change it....

My 94 ATX leaked twice on me because it overheated. The O/D light only blinked the second time. The cause of the overheating was a clogged transmission cooler, after I fixed the problem it never leaked again.
