So today my blend door actuator came in from FPS... and i had it in... and i was testing it while it was in there, and it wasnt working, as in no matter what i did with the temperature control unit, the door did not move and the actuator did not spin it also spit out the infamous 02 code... so since it is 20 degrees outside i put the door and the actuator at heat only, so i atleast have heat, because this is my only mode of transportation... i tested this part to no avail, including replacing the stripped out gear into my old unit with the good gear from the new unit... its a 95... which is the better EATC, correct? also all of the wiring and connectors are intact... im at a dead end and have nowhere to go... im thinking of replacig the EATC tomorrow to see if thats my problem

also... why is it that my car is never a simple pull the part out and replace it fix... if anyone has seen my other threads, nothing ever works the first time, between my clutch, secondaries and now my BDA, i could be an expert SHO odd occurances mecahnic

and thats not a good thing...

well look at the positive side of it,if you can fix these odd ball things, the common place will be no problem!
and yes an EATC from a 95 is the "hard button",the one you want!

which fuse is that? i checked three of them... and they all seemed good

i think the BDA i got is bad, i did the diagnostic routine per the ford service manual... and it seems to be pointing to that... which doesnt sit well with me

and you dont really have to undo any wiring, other than whats in the console, thats what i mean by unbuttoning it... i jsut removed the seats and sllid the dash about 2 feet from the firewall and i could access everything i needed
