I sure my battery is about to go. I just want to see what kind of battery everyone has or recommends. I don't want to pay for a red top so anything else. Thanks

how bad do your winters get, and do you even drive your car in the winter? I for one have a sears diehard silver in the car, and it's a good mix between the summer and winter, though if I had the money I would have bought the gold. If you have a mild winter, or you don't drive your car during it, I'd suggest the weatherhandler. THe SHO uses a group 34 battery, and at sears, w-handlers are 69.99, silver 79.99, and gold, 89.99

I got the diehard gold. The warranty is nice. One year I put the car up for the winter and pulled the battery. I would trickle charge it once in a while and I forgot the charger on for like 2 weeks. Fried the battery. They replaced it. No questions.

I've always had good experiences with Interstate batteries. Mine have lasted through their warranty period and then some. (60 months +) Prices aren't too bad either. Usually below $75.
