Well I had an interesting one.. I could not figure out why my battery kept discharging. Replaced it twice.. Even when sitting during storage with terminals off. The battery sits very tall in the holder, and the positive terminal sits toward the front of the the car. When the hood is closed the positive terminal actually is touching the hood liner. This was causing a slow bleed of voltage. This slow draw caused the plates to sulfate and then the battery will not take a charge. I will install post covers, that should fix it. I really should relocate the battery to the trunk like my bud in his 95 mtx did. get some weight off the front. Just thought id post for you guys!

Lucky the pad is there or you would have some nice holes in the hood....

Does your battery have a removable bottom piece?

Same here went to autozone with my old battery...which I might add I think they have it way to close to the pullies also... It got hit by one..anyways I told them my car and the battery was durlast gold 34DG or something and it was like that's not gonna fit. It did and I rigged my tray so my battery actauly sits leaning towards the fender slightly so that the side that is near the pullies. Is higher then the pullie...have had no problem with the top hitting anything...but from my old one to the new one completly different sizes..but they said it goes in that car.
