Has anyone seen it where when the car is cold, it hesitates big time, and has no power. You can put the accelerator down, and it seems like it wants to go, but it just revs without accelerating. Eventually it will slowly go, and once the RPMs get high enough it'll go. The condition improves greatly when it's warmed up, but it still hesitates a little. I thought that it might have something to do with the carboning up of the EGR valve that I've read happens to these cars, but when I went to look at it, I found that they eliminated the EGR valve on this model. (From the factory - I'm not familiar enough yet with these cars to know if/when they eliminated this) I took it to the dealer to diagnose, and the said that it gave a code that the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) was bad. Any ideas are appreciated!

The car is a 92 SHO with MTX - no mods. I have replaced the spark plugs, and cleaned the IAB/intake runners.

You may want to clean the throttle body and replace your spark plug wires. That should help with throttle response. But when you say that it revs high without accelerating kindof scares me though. The only time I had that problem was when my clutch was on it's way out.

i think it might be your clutch man. although clutches will play tricky games when it's cold. If it runs ok when it's warmed up then you are probably alright for now. But keep an eye on that clutch and save up some money just in case.
