I have a 380 watt amp, it is located in the trunk. The power line runs directly from the battery to the trunk. My ground cable is only 2 feet long and is grounded to a nut located above one of the rear wheels. Well about every 2-3 weeks I have to clean the corrosion off of my battery. It is really bad, is it like cake icing. The only currosion is on the power cable going to my amp, the car's power cable is fine. What could be causing this? Thanks for any advise.

Clean the terminals then coat with petroleum jelly. Is the battery in the trunk?

Not di-electric grease
