Got my car running again! Thanks to shodude for the tranny and to everyone else for the info along the way. It looks like I will be doing the heater core next though. I think I bumped one of the outlets when I pulled the motor because it leaks pretty good now. (okay it leaks pretty bad) Anyway, I just connected the two heater hoses together for now, I will work on it later. I ran the codes and everything came up good except for the egr valve not opening correctly. Could that cause the car to idle a little rough? Almost got a ticket already too. I live right above the cop shop and I wasn't used to the new clutch, coming around the corner in front of city hall I started spinning because of the sand on the road. The cop came by all ****** off as I was going into the house and chewed me out. Oh well, at least he didn't give me a ticket. Ok, my final questions are, I have a squalling noise coming from the new belts area. Would that be from too loose or too tight of a belt, and is there supposed to be a bushing of some sort on the gear selector on a cable shifter? There is a lot of play in it and it just doesn't look right.

You may want to remove the throttle body and check the EGR "nostrils" in the split in the intake manifold. These have a tendency to clog. You can remove the 8mm Allen plug from the driver side rear of the intake manifold to check the EGR passage for free flow. Stick an appropriately sized vacuum hose in the hole and try to blow through it. The air should pass freely through the "nostrils."
