On a sparkplug cross reference chart it has autolite 103 as the equivalent to awsf22c (old pn). Just wanted to make sure this is correct. Im running a zex kit so that's why i want a plug thats one step colder.Thanks

From what I have learned, any spark plug with iridium will be colder. This material offer less electrical resistance. NGK and other brands offer them as many today cars are running them from factory.
But for your application, I'm not sure what will be the hottest part : spark plug or the entire heads (all around the plugs). The spark plugs will be as hot as the rest of the heads.

Iridium have some benefits (required coil voltage reduced by as much as 20-percent !) but there are others facts to check.

Seems not so easy to know which brand is where on a scale.

By googling some words we can find some heat range charts for some brands. (Autolite isn't there sadly.)
Mines are NGK TR5IX (iridium), they are at 5 on the NGK scale from 2 to 12 which is considered a hot one. Confirmed after a visual check up on a old one. They have a short heat dissipation zone. (Almost perfect for my need : sporty daily driver.)
Autolite #103 isn't on SHO page on rockauto site (even if they are many). I wasn't able to find the autolite chart at this moment, did you already found it ? (shoftw)

According to Rockauto Autolite 103 fit on many ford models but not on V8 SHO. They have them for a very cheap price BTW. The rockauto isn't precise because engines aren't mentionned...

Cross reference numbers for #103 refer to grade 20 on Denso scale, 9 on Champion scale and 6 to NGK scale which are all one step colder than stock recommanded ones on Rockauto. Cannot confirm at 100% because I didn't found an Autolite scale.

Thanks for responding, this is the chart im using https://www.sparkplug-crossreference.com/convert/AUTOLITE/103.
AWSF22C has been superseded but its suppose to be one step colder and copper. I've went ahead and installed the plugs and they were the same length as my motorcraft platinum. Online it says the last number on autolite plugs indicates how hot or cold it is.
Like you im finding conflicting info on if this is one step or two steps colder. Since i have these in I'll try them out and go from there. Everybody who responded thanks!
