I don't remember much as I was tired as **** from the last two days of Carlisle when I did this. I just know a few things:

*My tires were shot from the burnout competition.
*Because of my Tires being shot, I had the front end pushing out on me a ton, The car normally has the rear end sliding all over the place. :)
*I got beat a Single turbo, Wide body, 2400 Pound Foxbody race car and a near stock 98 Cobra.

I came in 3rd in my run group (Out of ten cars) and then packed my shit and got the **** out of dodge!

Here is the video:

Here are the pics.

Great run!:omgsho: I can see what you mean by the front end pushing. Still, it looks like the SHO really pulled nice out of the corners. How were the brakes at the end of the run?

I would assume they're barely warm. The brakes on that car were intended to last an entire weekend at the track without concern.

Exactly. Autocrossing in general really does nothing to these brakes as most of the time you are trying to be on them as little as possible, Generally your only going to be pressing on them relatively hard not but once or twice.

That run looked like lots of fun. If it were my car and I planned to do more auto-x, I would call Porterfield. I bet they could make a set of very high torque / low temp pads that would be awesome for those short runs. Their R-41 compound looks interesting. Some nice new A6's would have made a huge improvement as well.

Get one of the little aluminum jacks at HF or someplace (Costco sometimes has decent ones, too), that'll lift the car just enough to swap the tires on one side. The jacks I'm thinking of are pretty small and light and easy to drag along to an event. Rotating tires on a track SHO becomes second nature after a while.

Looks like fun!
