Hey all! I have a 93 Atx, and I washed my key fob remote, and I'm trying to reprogram my new one. I don't have the keypad on the door, and nothing to jump in the trunk. I have done it once before using the key cycle method and it worked successfully programming the fob. I had someone doing some work on my car and they disconnected the auto-lock sensor under my seat..So I am curious with this being disconnected would this prevent my keyless entry from entering into program mode? If I do the key cycle 5,7,8 times the locks do not cycle letting me know its in program mode.

It's a 2 button remote, the brain is right there behind the cigarette lighter, unfortunately the label on the brain has been removed, but it does have ford sticker on the other side.

Sylentnite - does it have an A and D on the remote? That is a dealer added Remote Keyless system.

Cubanboi - Remote keyless was not available until 1993 from the factory. Just dealer add on systems.

My 91 and 92 have Remote Keyless Entry. It took a couple of feet of 94 harness, a RKEM Module, three hours, and about 56bajillon wires that needed to be cut and spliced.

Yes it has A and D...but my question was, if the auto lock is unplugged under the drivers seat, will this prevent the system from going in learn mode to program a remote. The 1st time i did my remotes, it was pretty effortless, but I have had a hard time trying to get it in learn mode(i dont have the in the trunk thingy to put it in learn mode). This was about the only thing I could come up with as to why it won't go into learn mode.

Not sure. I have the same system in my car (it's a dealer add-on) but no directions or anything, so I have no idea how to program it. I plan on replacing it with a factory system soon.
