this is possible. It should be easy to do if your amplifier has high inputs, which is basically you splice into your rear speakers and hook those connections up to your amp but if you dont have that capability with your amp look on crutchfield or something for a line converter. You will splice into your rear speaker into this little box and it takes that signal from the rear speakers and changes to a rca type connector allowing you to hook your amp up.

Thankyou for the information, but from what you say, it sounds like you are just saying that this will take care of the remote signal...but i can just run everything to the like normal, but what do i do wtih the AV inputs? Thanks so far

What he is describing will take care of the signal. You can run the remote from any wire that is 12V when the car is on.

okay ive got the idea of that, now i need to know what to do with the AV input...the signal is just to turn on the amp, so now i need the actual sound going to the subs...so can i just splice it into the same speaker? or should i splice the remote into the left, and the AV into the other? thanks for the advice so far... :D

I have one more question...
If i run the remote signal off the speakers, will this then run the watts back to the system, and possibly blow the speakers if turned up too high?

1.) 12V constant to battery to amp
2.) Ground to body
3.) 12V switched from amp to remote on accessory
in car
4.) From either LR or RR speaker splice in line
convertor, then run RCA cables to amp

Those are the hookups in my Explorer
