I want to get a better trans cooler than the factory one while the ATX still works properly. How many btu would be appropriate. I found a 45,000 btu unit that has me interested. Any input would be great.

I would use a stacked plate cooler, that way it will not overcool. It will run the outside of the cooler and use the plates once the fluid is warm and thin. Also, I have never heard the term BTU when talking about a transmission cooler. I thought that term was for HVAC type things... Like my furnace is *** BTU's. None the less, I would go with a 25000 GVW cooler. B&M, and Tru-Cool are great coolers. Actually they are the same.
