ATX horseshoe clip

Is the horseshoe clip supposed to be such a PITA to put back in? The shifter was loose/off and the wires broken when I got the car. I fixed everything and now am trying to put the clip back in and its a biotch....

On the few I have messed with, they just popped off and on. If it is not working, make sure it is lined up correctly.

Make sure the shifter is pushed all the way down. If the clip won't go in, try slowly wiggling and pulling up the shifter until the clip finds the slot it's supposed to slide into.

Mine was a pain too, for some reason it took like 20 minutes to get it back in...just keep working with it eventually itll go.

you mean the shifter **** clip? use a pair of pliers to hold one side, and put the other side in slightly first and then tap the other side in...kinda have to squeeze it together.

Mine has proven to be a major PITA too. I have yet to get mine done...and my wiring is giving me some issues too since the wires I put in are too long and started binding on the shifter.
