ATX kaput? Right axle inner cup moves vertically

I noticed a terrible vibration in chassis and thought at first tires and then thought hmm...feels like an axle wobble. Sure enough I can grab axle and the inner part moves vertically about 1/2 in where is goes into transmission. If joint was bad axle would move but not the inner cup. Any thoughts?

Answered my own question

I was being lazy. Took out the axle and getting replaced.
