Ok I have a question and decided to ask it in the correct forum, I hope. Exactly what type of ATX fluid should I run in the Gen III? I have been having a shifting problem and it just dawned on me that my son had the tranny fluid changed when he took my car to have it serviced last, he took it to Fast **** and I can almost bet they used the wrong type fluid, I know there is probably a thread somewhere to give me this answer, but all I have located so far is something about Mercon and MerconV one being right and the other wrong. I want to change the fluid and filter but not sure what kind to get. Thanks guys.:hail:

I forgot what year you have...

But if you want it to last I would install AMSOIL in it.. By far it will outlast anything on the market. It is More Expensive but worth it in the long run.

AMSOIL dealers:

Don Mallinson
Paul Nimz (I think)
Paul Fisher
Me, But I dont sell to the public. I just whore it all to my self :woo-hoo:

Mercon V will work on any year. Mercon will not, only 97 and older.

I second the Amsoil remark.
