atx console

I have a 90 SHo and i want to convert to a gen 2 console. ive got a guy offering me an atx console, is there any difference between the atx and mtx consoles? if so, what other parts would i need?

I'm gonna do the same to mine. I think the Gen2s' look much better.

An ATX console will drop in and work fine. The only differences between the ATX and tne MTX consoles are the console tops. The ATX one has a recess at the shiter opening and the MTX one does not. Make sure to get all the brackets: one to the rear under the storage unit, one under the cupholder, the one that hooks the consoel to the dash, and the one that hooks the dash bracked to the dash.

I have a 93 ATX console available, as well as ALL of the mounting brackets. Send an email to [email protected]. No need for the pics of what you'l need, I just did the swap into my 92 not long ago, and i know whats necessary. Best thing I ever could have done for my interior. (Although i love the Chameleon flip-flop dash surround!)

Yes, my console is black.. Came out very good! I used interior SEM paint, in the landau black color. Need any help or info, let me know! [email protected]

As a little side note: I use SEM landau black interior paint on my console top also. You cannot tell it was painted at all, it does not scratch off and it does not "feel" like a pained surface at all.
