If you haven't done this mod. I highly suggest you do. So much steering has come back on the Sable, it isn't even funny! Also the shifting, and accelleration was improved as well.

I give this mod an A+

;)

Thanks to TYSHO for everything.

(I know this is pointless, but I wanted to share)

Aluminum Subframe Bushings

As you can see, this design has the subframe "hanging" on the bushings. There's not upper reinforcement. With the Aluminum Subframe Bushings this changes... Which is one of the main reasons I purchased them (that, and my old ones are SHOT!)

Old Bushings:

The old front bushing without the nuts at the threaded stud was a pain to get out. It was totally smashed. I had to get a chissle in order to get it out.

Enjoy!

Good pics, Sal.

I recently did this upgrade on my Sable. It made a world of difference in handling characteristics, turn-in, and just the overall tightness of the front end. Once I get my AM FSTB in, I'll be happier than a pig in shit!

Oh yeah, and damn you Californians and your non-rusty underbodies!!! lol...

Not sure when I'll be out to Cali. Definitely not this year, unless Lockheed sends me out to San Diego to do a ship install (doubtful). Meg's sister might be moving back to the east coast, though, so it might be next year, it might be never. You shoudl come out to Jersey, though!

That would definetly be cool. Always wanted to know what Jersey is like... Hmm, if so, it'll be a year before I do. It'll be with the wife too... (Kim doesn't know yet...) Oops! I said too much!

Sure Sal, I don't much like not getting along with others either.

I'm serious about the noseplugs too, there's a distinct change in smell when you cross over into Jersey from NY on I95... :)

Sounds good! I get a little carried away anyhow... Sorry.

Anyhow, any chance I can get back on TCCA... Well, e-mail me about it. Thanks!

Dude, Jersey only smells up near the Oranges (which don't smell like Oranges) and Newark. The rest of Jersey smells awesome (like where I live!) You northerners just stick the tip in and thing that all of Jersey is bad!

Anyway, that said, that's awesome, Sal! Great to hear that...I'll keep my mouth...err...fingers shut!

Now I've found out that I might be going out to San Diego sometime within the next few months, because my group is about to get a re-org, and we're going to be rolled into another group that actually does quite a bit of traveling!

Yeah...I work for LM in Moorestown, at CSEDS (Combat Systems Engineering Development Site). We test AEGIS combat systems before they are put into use for the Navy. Are you a LM employee?
