Hey all!!

Since it's winter break time for college students, and there's not much else going on right now (other than the holidays), I figured I might offer a lunch meeting for anyone interested.

How about Jan. 8th or 9th? If anyone is up for it, lets pick a spot that is kinda centrally located in the area.

Traditionally, we've used Nifty Fifties Diner in Bensalem as a meeting place, but I'm open to any suggestions.

Stupid work schedule....

I would love to go, however work would exclude me for a Saturday event and I dont get off on Sunday until 4p.m. :frown: Thursdays and Fridays are my days off, so if anyone is interested or available those days, I'm down. As for location, doesn't matter to me.

Edit: I should have said on Saturday I get off at 6, so if lunch becomes dinner... I'm there.

wheres that at? say, from right by NYC, how far?

Bensalem is a part of philadelphia. Not sure what route or how much time it would take to get there. Maybe an hour and a half or so?

EDIT-Just looked it up on mapquest. It says about an hour and 23 minutes.

Anyone from my area heading up [lancaster]? I don't know Philly very well. I knew how to get to the airport, but it's been awhile..... :)

I've been thinking about the King of Prussia Mall. It's easy to get to from the turnpike, RT. 422, 476, or 76. We'd probably want to meet on top of the Court parking garage if the weather is good, or down below if the weather is wet. I won't hesitate to cancel if it's snowy. http://www.kingofprussiamall.com/cgi-bin/shopping/dining04.pl

You could stop by my place in West Chester and follow me to wherever we go. To get to my house, you'd either take Rt 30 or the turnpike to Rt 100 or Downingtown, then south a few miles to West Chester. About your ZX2 meet...Wanna do a joint meet at the mall? I don't want to change any plans that you may allready have, but if you want to I'm down. Are ZX2s Escorts or Foci. Is that the plural form of Focus? :p

Count me in.

I have idea that I would like to add... there used to be an indoor gocart track in the OAKs area it might be fun to do a few laps. If there is interest, I look into group rates.

I'd be up for something that weekend. Especially @ KOP mall since I'm in the Reading area.

Keep us all posted as the details are determined.

Assuming the weather is good (I have no heat / defrost system) and my car is out of he body shop ( it should be by then), I will be there. Regardless of final arrangements, the K of P area will be fine.

I am interested as long as my car is "ok" (that's a relative term these days). Still trying to track down a suspension issue that I haven't had much time or motivation to with this weather.

I'm gonna fwd this to some NJ people who don't use the forum. I can probably hitch a ride with someone if my SHO is a no go. :)

Great idea Mike.

Well, It looks like there is plenty of interest. Does anyone prefer either day over the other. LancSHO mentioned that he was having a ZX2 meet on Saturday, so maybe Sunday would be better for him. Any other questions, comments, concerns?

Why don't we all meet on the upper level of the Court, Pavilion area(opposite end from Macys). The Pavilion has a glass faced entrance. Just inside the doors is a nice lobby.

If anyone is unsure of how to get there, don't be afraid to ask.

Is there a preferance to time? Also, I would like to get an idea of how many people are planning to show up, just in case I need to make reservations.

Another option is Kildare's, across the street from the mall. I've been to their West Chester location a couple times and was impressed. www.kildarespub.com

One vote for Sunday. If I would be able to get off for either of those days, it would be Sunday... so that's my vote. Bet I'll have the crappiest SHO there, but I haven't even begun working on it yet. :bonk:

It sounds like we have two votes for Sunday. Don't worry about the condition of your SHO. We just like to see them on the road in the hands of someone who knows what they are. :thumb:

 A rolling hole in my pocket?

In all seriousness, if I make it wait until you see my ghetto hood paint job.
Keep us posted as to the final decisions, I'll need to try to get someone to cover for me.

Which brings me to my slightly late edit.... we could always meet at the mall and move the party elswhere. Who doesn't enjoy a good Irish pub? :thumb:
