Hi
this summer I have already purchased my second sho a 93 atx and now I have won one in Mesquite, Texas on ebay the last one we flew to north carolina and picked it up and got hit by a tornado .the car after repair made it here to new mexico .I have however won this 93 silver one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2492683495
the present owner said it ran great till he let it sit for a few weeks and now it will run and start but is hard to start .I was just wondering if anyone is in the area of the car and would be willing to stop by and tell me what you think to trailer it wich would cost me alot or take a plane and attempt to drive it home .it sounds like what mine was doing before I changed the cid sensor if that is all it is I would fly fix and drive it home as it only took me ten minutes to fix the last one .but unless I have codes I do not really know what I am looking at but the owner thinks it will make it seems to be a nice guy also .I do not have alot of money but could pay someone for going and see it and mabe get the codes....thanks

HI there, im about 130 miles from him and was going to bid on it and decided against it. I talked to him throughly and he said it will stall before you can get out of park. He seems pretty consistant in that he doesnt think the car can be driven in the present state. I was going to figure out someway to trailer it home but i found a gen 1 i want instead. Either way as long as the tranny and motor is good you got a heck of a deal. But as far as trying to drive it i wouldnt recommend it. I wasnt going to try with 130 miles especially if you cant get it out of park before it quits. I thought about doing the same thing your thinking of doing but theres so many other possible culprits to the problem that id be afraid i couldnt repair it to drive it home and then your that much more behind in expense. I dont have anyway to run for codes on it and honestly im too far away to do it right now( im in austin and its 250 miles from there I here for work) Good luck with getting it home, it seems to be a clean nice example of a sho. Hopefully it wont **** ya to get it home :thumb:

Hi

I have decided to put it on a trailer and bring it home that way .for future reference you can run codes with a paper clip no reader needed.it sounds like a cid issue that I was having with my wife's car that only cost $34 to fix but even if it is a little more I can figure it out when I get it back to new mexico .I will more than likely sell it then as I have my eye on a gen I and have two gen II's already .at some point I want all the generations including the gen III's with welded cams of course :) anyhow thanks for the response

Yea i hear ya there, thats what id like to have is all 3 gens as well as a svt countour. The primary reason for wanting a gen 1, and since your in NM i think you will agree with me on this, is the air vents in the gen 2s are right behind the steering wheel making it impossible to cool down in the summer! So because of that discovery i made with gen 2s then i wont be getting another.... You ought to come out pretty good on this silver atx. I was looking at it to buy and sell as well but i came across a black gen 1 that is my dream sho so ill put off the money making for another time. Good luck getting it running! Take care,Karson
