Anyone elses O/D button not work ?

I bought this 93 ATX a few weeks ago and the only things wrong with it were that the CMHSL didnt work and the O/D button doesnt work. Anyone had the O/D problem ?

What was wrong with it ?

are you sure it doesnt work? the car actually does NOT shift out of 4th while cruising when you hit it..or is the light in the cluster just burnt out.

I've never had a problem with mine, or in my dads 93, and i'm not sure if it has anything to do with the CHMSL (fuse perhaps?)

You could pull the center console and check the wiring i suppose, or maybe the button in the shifter has crapped out (again, never heard of that happening)

Take the console apart, its probably a pinched or cut wire.

I second this idea. My OD didn't work when I first got the car, and after tearing the console apart the verdiect was a sliced wire. I soldered it and it was good as new

Mine doesnt work either.. It did, but not now.

yea i just bought the whole shifter with over drive still on it the other day off of ebay for 15bucks...........looks like it should work.....unless the wires are cut further down towards the tranny.

check the wires 95% there cut right buy the shifter
