Looking to fix my antenna. The nylon cord is broken in the motor, along with the previous one (long story involving previous owner). Also, the top nut is stripped. I think i'm gonna have to cannabalize the whole motor and start over. Need hints/tricks on coaxing the top bushing off and getting the motor out of that cramped little fender compartment. Would rather not remove the fender!!!

If the top nut is striped there is only one tool to use .... one size strips all (vise grips).

Have you removed the plastic splash shield insied the fender? That gives easy access to the antenna's motor.
