I hear everyone saying the best sounding muffler is the Dynomax. But which ones, Dynomax Super Turbo? or another model. thanks

The "best" muffler is dependent on what you're looking for. What are your goals with a muffler swap?

Best muffler combinations have a lot to do with what you're after.

Some folks like the sound of Flowmasters. I do not. They simply sound like ass on a small displacement 60 degree V-6.

My recommendation is to go with an engineered kit that fits the SHO properly. We offer the Dynomax cat-back system for just under $400, plus shipping. This syst will fit the car properly and has Dynomax Super Turno muufler and polished stainless steel tips, just like the '94-'95 SHO's.

Give us a call to place your order.

for the V6 id use a magnaflow or Borla muffler, the straight through ones.
but the key to getting a V6 SHO to not sound like ass is the resonator,id use the largest cherry bomb muffler that you can fit in place of a "traditional" resonator. maybe a second smaller resonator further down if you want.

Ive got a dynomax with an equal length y pipe and it can be raspy at times. The key is in the resonator.

yes the raspiness of the exhaust I can not stand. I heard the dynomax kit on a SHO on youtube. I didnt like it. I'm spoiled with the deep grunt from my Gen 3 SHO and I know I cant get that sound with my 2nd Gen.My issue is the exhaust on my 95 ATX is not in the best of shape. But If im going to spend the money to replace it, it like to go with something that gives the motor a little bit more breathing. But If I use dynomax mufflers and have to put on the largest glasspack I can find as a resinator. Wouldnt that setup be more restrictive then the factory exhaust. What gains are found there? I dont care if the exhaust isnt loud at all. I was actually thinking of puting Borlas on this car as well. I've heard they cancel out alot of the respiness. But are not anywhere close to as loud.

You're not really going to find gains or losses from the aftermarket exhaust set ups available for the SHO.

I have a dynomax cat back, with a 4.5x24" resonator. I do have some rasp cause my cats are hollow, but it sounds pretty good.

Hey I just wanted to let you guys know. I ended up going with a 2.5 inch pipe from the y pipe back. No resonators into two mufflers of a stock 2006 mustang gt. I read they are good flowing mufflers. The car is quite at idle except for a slight rumble. And its got a nice deep rumbling sound when the secoundaries open up. So heres an alternative to the raspiness and I got the mufflers as take offs for 100 bucks for the pair.

I'm picking up a car that has a custom borla catback behind a performance plus y pipe this tuesday. I'll post up a vid when I get it.

i'm eliminating my cats, replacing the resonator with a cherry bomb, getting rid of the stock mufflers and replacing them with 3"x8" header mufflers. Should be loud and rapsy at the same time. So for now until i can afford some high flow cats, i'm not going to screw with them

I had a dynomax catback on my 94 atx with gutted cats and it sounded pretty good, also had a loud intake...... no rasp whatsoever

I currently have a Borla catback on my 93 mtx and it sounds pretty good too

not too loud but has a lil tone when u get on it... at idle sounds almost stock

we will see what it sounds like with the catless y pipe, but the borla has a pretty big resonator

if i don't like the sound because i'm not a raspy kind of guy...I like to hear raw power. Chances are, i have a set of borla mufflers sitting here that will go under it
