Another ChumpCar race another podium for EggBoy Racing

EggBoy Racing took the STLSHO/Izzys Custom Cages SHO to Nashville SuperSpeedway this weekend for the ChumpCar Firecracker 24 and finished third after a 30 minute mechanical repair took us out of contention for the overall win. We did lead for at least 14 of the 24 hours, possibly more.

HUGE freaking THANK YOU once again to James, Dave and Dillon at STLSHO for all of the help and support... we're having a blast doing this and none of it would be possible without you guys!

Damn, what was the issue?

Endurance racing a 21 year old SHO that we purchased for $390.

At least one of our drivers caught a berm and put the car up on two wheels... WAY up, stunt track style. The wheel bearing appears to have not enjoyed the landing and eventually failed, sending us to the garage to execute a well rehearsed swap.

The guy behind me must have soiled himself because he slammed on his brakes and came to a complete stop, almost collecting the car behind him.

There was a '76 Monte Carlo that did plenty of smashing... took hits to the driver's side front, rear door and rear quarter.

Well done!! Good to see the SHO doing well in crapcan endurance racing, after the first failed attempts with spectacular failures in LeMons a few years ago.
