Another A/C Question

Hello out there - pardon the stupidity, but I'm new to the SHO world (the first post didn't give that away). Been fond of the SHO for a while and picked up a decent 95' MTX as the story begins.....

Does anyone know, or could anyone tell me the part number for the A/C line that runs from the compressor to the accumulator (opposite the discharge line #YF-2063)? This is the part where I insert all of the places where I looked and came up empty handed so I'll save ya'll the story...I can't find it.....

actually - "Mr Ford" told me this morning that this is the wrong part #....sorry to be a pain, again, but does anyone know the difference between the YF-2062 and the YF-2199. The latter only comes up for the 3.2, but I was under the assumption that they were the same (or close to it).

Exactly - that is Motorcraft #YF-2062. Does anyone know the differences between this line listed for the 3.0 L and the YF-2199 for the 3.2 L. I gave up and ordered the 2199 today so if it doesn't work......

EDIT: I guess a better way to put it is "Will the 2199 work in place of the 2062" (as long as I can keep it off of the exhaust manifold)

Make certain the parts counter monkey can tell the difference between the 3.0L SHO and the 3.0L non-SHO requirements.

The YF2199 is an 3.2L ATX only part. Ford no longer produces the part for the 3.0L MTX, you could to try to find it aftermarket, although I've never seen a listing for it.

The line in question is not interchangeable between ATX/MTX. ATX cars the drier is on the firewall, MTX it's up front.

If you have no other luck, you can take the old line to a hydraulic shop to have it rebuilt.

Unfortunately - I found that out this morning. I was hoping to either

1.) Have the room to "snake" it through the motor mount and back to the dryer or

2.) Hope the rubber line was soft enough to allow bending around the front damper without kinking....

Neither worked so I guess I'm headed to a hydraulic shop....(Does Anyone need a YF-2199 ?) Thanks to all for the info and hopefully I can get it back on the road before the tires bond to the garage floor.....
