All clear tail lights for Gen II

LOL, I'm just loving that yellow with the small hint of red. Talk about aesthetic properties. You're right, the wings, stickers, and other crap that ricers put on a car can really make them look horrid, but when thought is put into accentual products, a car can look quite nice. Personally I don't think any car should have altezza style lights save for maybe the altezza or is300, and I really like the red/clear tails used in most European models. The main reason I want clear is to offer the option of using Red LED taillight bulbs, and possibly painting covers over the clears to match the paint, while still letting the light pass through. I think that when clear corners and taillights first came out, they were far from "rice" and that it wasn't until the "altezza" idea came to be that it became "rice". I still think that changing taillights and corner lights to clear is very useful in setting a car apart, and still keeping it's appeal.

i think it would be more useful to get someone to make us some *clear* headlight housings. i know i could see better at night with something other than that thick, ribbed, yellow piece of crap i have my bulb in now.

LOL.. what do you guys consider all the new Maximas and Altimas and all the other Nissans that come with clear tails? Rice is the combination of: wing/can/stickers/*** shit and the driver that drives his car like its a 10 second machine BECAUSE of his "wing" and "ground effects" etc. Maybe once you see what a SHO with clear tails looks like you won think it to be rice? Have you ever seen one?

mikey, I seen it in Madison at the mall.. The front ground effects were hanging off of it... and those hideous painted taillights really made me sick.. I seen a nice red 93 sitting out side p-plus a little later wink

if aftermarket company made clear tails for the taurus, I'd consider them. Simply cause then my tails would sorta blend into the rest of the quasi silver of the Opal Frost. I'd have to see it first to make my final judgement.

I'm all for someone going to an aftermarket company and getting something made up like that. If soneone didn't do it for the clear sides where would we be? I want a set of the clear sides but first I want to polish my lights and get them nearly clear and clean looking so they match.

I would really love a set of real clear headlights for my SHO. I miss the ones I have on my 95 SE, which is the only reason I bought it. The damn headlights made me want it.

Well, your grandmother wasn't brought up in an age with short skirts and fishnets stockings, but it doesn't mean that it "can't" be done!!

The SHO is a dated car model. Yes, your name is on the title, and you can do whatever s**t you want to it, be it clear tailights, clear headlights, etc. You have your right to do it. I also have the right to walk up to you, look you in the eye, and tell you that you're an a-hole for making the SHO look like s**t.

If you want ricer parts, buy a Civic and waste your money. If you want a SHO, don't embarrass the rest of us SHO owners by being an idiot.

As yearsgo on, the SHOs that will be worth the most $$$ will be closest to stock. And will get the most attention at any car show.

Ron that was awesome. I get ****** off just seeing a SHO that has not been maintained nevermind ANY type of vehicle horribly riced out. I think decent wheels and those clear corners are good enough for a SHO, as well as nice muffler tips. No banners or badges (SVT, Cobra) either please. I rececently went to a local junkyard and noticed a green gen II that was being parted out had a shadow above the 24v emblem where there once was a Cobra emblem. Why the **** would you want to put that there in the first place???

How cool would that be to have clear tails on a taurus?!? It would definately be original. By the way...You people agaisnt ricers...I watched a civic beat the **** out of a 11 second camaro today! There is no point to trying to change their minds,Same with Rims, Radios, Wings and whathaveyou. In the end it's your car not theirs. Do what you want with it. Not so long ago people still had a problem with BOOM stereo's and fast cars. Why put 400 pounds of stereo and wood in a trunk and slow down a car. The hatred of "rice" will pass to, did for me. Still don't like real ricers (Ie cars that look fast but arn't) but modded Imports take alot of effort and will get at least a gruding respect from me. Still miss my 5.0 though but no room for kids wink

Hey, I STILL have a problem with loud stereos. Well, the ones that intrude on my sleep, anyway. You figure people might be sleeping in a residential area at 3am.

I don't think Ron or anyone else has the right to call someone a bad name just because they think they are messing up their car, but he and others do have the right to express their opinion. At the same time, so does everyone.

Now, I think the SHO has good, clean, aerodynamic looks, and that's what I like in a car. If I wanted flashy, I'd have bought an MR2 Spyder with a body kit or something. About the only thing that has flash that I like it the Elise, and only because the flash is functional on that car. Fake scoops and whatnot just don't appeal to me. That's IMO, YMMV, BTB, OK?

Can't claim RICE until I see them. but while we're talking RICE 187 to ALL Ricers. Why spend 10-15K on a Civic spend another 5-10K so it can run with a STOCK Mustang? Just by the Mustang at 15-20K and spend that extra 5k on washing it so it looks nice.
