I asked a question. Sorry to you if I look ******** or something.
So, because you wanna know, here's my life :
I'm a mecanic, and at the garage I work we have a rather large parking that always gets covered in ice and snow.
Water got into that super-distributor, making the truck unable to start.
Try with 2 people to push a 6000lbs truck loaded with tools and hardware on slick ice from a end of the parking to the other into the shop.
Now, here's the "see that I'm not as dump as you might think part"
1- Taurus SHOs front bumper are all made of Polyurethane, a kind of plastic that is very soft and DO NOT crack. (I got rearended once, the plastic bumper support got inside the trunk because I got hit very hard. And the SHO cover was barely scratched) So, that's why the bumper will not break/crack/explode even at very cold temp.
2- If you use a tire (without a rim btw) between the 2 vehicule, you'll see that if will do nothing to both. I have pushed many cars with mine without adding a single scratch to my already ugly 85 000 highway miles bumper.
3- My transmission is equipped with a Quaife differential, means I won't blow my tranny by doing this, plus I get lots more traction.
4- My car is also equipped with studded snow tires. In fact they look like offroad tires. I grap traction nicely in the dry, slushy, snow, and ice with no problems.
5- If you think my car is mistreated, look at my 1/4 mile time (15.0 sec) was with no traction out of the box. Now the tune-up is up-to-date and car is very capable of 14 sec, and still stock.
6- The only other thing capable of pushing something on ice is my boss's F-350, (the big triton v10, king cab, long bed, 6 wheels thing) but with a 8 foot Plow on the front.
Anything else ?
