Air Bag Codes????

Alright this is ******* me off- sometimes when i drive the air bag light comes on and flashes a 6 code...i read in shotimes and it says it means a driver side air bag open or high resistant circuit- first how could this happen and second how do i fix it...pretty soon my dash will have every idoit light on- i have the door ajar on the low coolant and now air bag- whats left chk engine and abs humm not good...nehow let me know what u think is up..

The low coolant light input comes from the sensor in the expansion bottle. The sensor is actually part of the cap. Assuming you have checked the fluid level to be in the correct range, unclip the electrical connector from the cap and remove the sensor "dipstick." Scrape all of the crusty deposits from the metal contacts on the inside of the two tips and reinstall the sensor. Turn the ignition key ON to test the sensor. If it still shows "LOW COOLANT," then you will need to replace the sensor - about $20 from Ford.
