Decided to make a new thread regarding my spindle/knuckle r/r.

After installing a spindle I got from the junkyard, I now here a squeaking noise which I believe is coming from the front/left side, the same side of the installed spindle.

Now, I was wondering could this be a lubrication problem as I did manage to rid the lower ball joint of some of its lubrication that's on there? Or can it be something else that may have arisen due to this r/r of the spindle? It seems to only squeak when I am on the gas, and when I pull off the gas, the squeaking disappears. Can it have something to do with the caliper not properly seated? Dragging brakes?

Thanks!

Check your brake dust shield first. It may just be bent. If that's not the problem check to see if your brake pads are bad. Then, if that's not the problem, check and see if when your car is on jackstands and you're turning the wheel if it makes it. If this is the case it's probably your wheel bearing.

Eh man, this is very good info. And I'm sure that one of your listed potential problem for my problems is probably the problem, and I'm leaning toward the brake dust shield as the problem because it had some bent spots and lots of rust with it.

That's allot, dude-O!!!

No problem! Sorry for the long time between replies but I have been fixing my car. :D I had the dust shield problem after I did my brakes. It scraped really loudly. It was annoying to say the least. Good luck and let us know what you find out.
