Dumb question. Would a dealer every change out rims upon reuqest if they had a taurus on the lot with the wheels i preferred or is that a completely unrealistic request?
Some dealers will not do that no matter how nicely you ask. Others may. Lincoln pretty much requires the dealer to sell a new or CPO vehicle with factory wheels. Not necessarily the ones that came from the factory, but ones that were possible to get from the factory. I would expect Ford dealers to have a little more latitude there. The time to ask the dealer for this kind of request is the evening of the last day of the month - if they still need to get units out to make their goals for the month, then people are suddenly flexible to do what they otherwise could not do...
Lincoln CPO warranty is 6 years from date of original purchase or 100,000 miles bumper to bumper warranty - all the same stuff that is covered in the original 4 yr/50k warranty but with a $100 deductible. That literally costs the dealer over $1000 to make happen and is why we sell a ton of CPO Lincolns, its a great peace of mind.
