Ok, I have a leak in the aluminum line that goes to the Dryer on the firewall. My guess is battery acid may have leaked on it. My AC is bone dry. Do I have to remove the whole assembly, Dryer and all, all the way to the compressor? Is there a connection somewhere on the line after the dryer? Is seems like a lot of work to replace the whole dryer for a simple whole in the line. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.

GMAN,

The accumulator dryer and low pressure line goes from the firewall to the short manifold line near the compressor. It is all one line. So, in answer to your question, yes, you have to replace the whole thing if it has a hole in it.
