Recently put on the a/c bypass belt from Autozone, the gator brand. However, there is a loud winding noise coming from the back pulleys area. I've been running this belt for about 3 weeks now, and there hasn't been any other problem but this.
Is the belt too tight? It doesn't seem so.
I'm sure it's routed properly.
I sprayed some belt grease on it and it did nothing for the noise.
The winding sound is much more pronounced at initial start up, but after driving for about 10-15 minutes, the noise isn't so loud or noticeable.
