AC Stopped

Today my AC went hot and started to smell. I stopped and noticed the AC clutch was arching and not engaging. Also a "thud" from the compressor.

My understanding is the compressor will stop if you have a leak. I removed the cover to the AC valve charge port and had high pressure and yellow crap.

Anyone have any experience with something like this, what was the cost. I may have fried the compressor and if I remember, they have to purge the whole system and replace the evaporator, etc.

I had my ac compressor seize up back in January and it kept the engine from cranking. It cost me $1300 to replace the compressor, orifice tube and condenser.
