I converted my 91 SHO to R134a. I charged the system with 1 can of R134a and the compressor still wouldn't turn on. I used the broomstick method and tapped the compressor clutch and it would turn. I got that adjusted correctly and now the compressor cycles on for 1 sec and off for 5 sec?? When the pressure gauge is hooked up to the low side port the compressor kicks on when the pressure reaches 45psi and kicks off when the pressure gets to 25psi, and will keep doing this. I've tried adding more R134a with no luck, the system won't pull it in. I am looking for some advice as to what to try next. Sometimes the compressor won't kick on at all and tapping the clutch doesn't help so I know the gap is right. I've made sure the connector is tight to the compressor. It actually worked for about 5 min a couple days ago and then the compressor shut off and stayed off. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions rather than taking it in to pay a bunch of money.

On mine I unpluged the plug from the pressure switch and jumpered it with a paperclip, then added one more can.
