I had mine disconnected during the winter so that I could use my defrost, however the guy did it so fast I didn't exactly see where...but it was on the battery side, he just reached down and diconnected a switch

sorry I can't be more specific

Just remove it, then use a piece of rope around the other pulleys to get a measurement for a replacement belt that will fit. Pretty easy to do.

My ac compressor pulley froze up months ago. The belt started smoking running on that pulley not spinning and snapped. That belt just runs from the crank to the ac compressor and alternator. I believe if you use a 17" belt and adjust the tensioner it works fine to go from the crank to the alternator pulley. It has worked fine for months now, but I'd still like to get the ac fixed, just don't know what that would cost.

I removed the a/c pump and it works fine. I believe the belt required was about 35" long(total distance around) but I have UDP's so it would have to be a bit shorter with a regular pulley. Just use a string as descibed above to determine what length you need. The belt still takes the normal route over the tensioner, it just goes straight to the alt now instead of down to the a/c pump.
