I need to remove my abs sensors to check them, but the major problem is that the bolts are in such rough shape that I cant really tell what the **** they are. Can someone tell me what type of bolts these are suppose to be....torx? 12 pt socket? I just can't really tell mine are so mangled!!! Second question.....since the bolts are so bad I most likely wont be able to get them out with the correct tool... what is my best option here to remove these abs sensor bolts??

Put a volt meter on ac scale and backprobe wires and then rotate the wheel to test them. don't remove them unless you have to. the bolts are either 8mm or inverted torx but they will probably snap off, and the plastic pin that holds the sensor in place will be welded also, so they will probably need replaced if you mess with them. Like i said before look at the tone rings on the axles for cracks or missing teeth.

Inverted torx. But it might be impossible to get them out if you live in a salty area. Might have to drill them out. I believe the bolts are an M6 bolt (IIRC).

bacernate, I looked at the tone rings and I can't see any missing teeth or cracks but I do notice something interesting. The passenger side ring has a score mark going all the way around the ring, almost dead center of the teeth.....any ideas???? Thanks!!
