ABS Locking Up

I have a problem with the ABS cutting in during normal driving conditions and locking all the wheels up as I am coming to a stop. The only way to get the wheels unlocked is to pump the pedal untill they free up. My brakes have been locked up in the middle of the road for up to 10 minutes. There is no light on and visually all the rings/sensors look ok. TIA

unplug the abs in the engine compartment my wifes car was doing that, and that is all i did until i have it serviced,if i ever get it serviced, both of my sho's dont have abs and i dont even miss it

Yeh, thats what I've done right now but I want to know how to fix the problem.

ive heard that these sypmtoms come from a bad relay... the relay shorts out and activates the ABS

did you run codes? Also id say better have them lock up then not work at all, thats probably a failsafe.

on my blue one i broke one of the sensors, and for the price of a new one i can deal without, on the red one dont know what the problem is

Where is the relay?

I do not know how to run an ABS check. The light is not on though.

There is a separate plug for the ABS and I didn't get codes from the paper clip test.

I Have Ran into this problem and Have Figured out the Code Scanner thing. There are two STAR Plugs under the Hood and the ABS Plug is to be Used by a Specified Diagnostic Computer only. Run Your STAR Test with Engine Running. those codes should be Related.

I Have A Manual with the ABS Codes. Email Me if you Need Them. Also, did your Brake Pedal Start to Sink in and stay? Mine Has been. It just seems a Little Funky To Me.
