I bought a 91 Plus Friday in Nashville. The car runs AWESOME...even better than my 93 did. I noticed however that most of time tht the annoying little yellow ABS light is on, but not always. Anyone have any ideas? There seems to be nothing wrong with the brakes.

Have an 89 bronco II that did the same thing with its ABS [rear wheels only]. Completely flushed brake system 3 times to fix. Truck had the original fluid in it. Brake fluid was black with age. Maybe this will help it worked for me.

Mine does the same. I had brakes doneand afterwards the light was on. I took it over to my stealer and he said something might be wrong with the brakes, so I took it to Midas for a free estimate and they said everything was A OK, so I took it back to ford and said to try and disconnect the battery overnight and let it reset and if it still is on, then something is probally wrong with the ABS ring on the axle. I tried it, it stayed on all the time, but no braking problems so I let it go. I had it in the shop and the guy called me and said that the ABS ring is toasted on the axle and it can only be replaced with a new axle. I think this is bs , but I let it go anyways.

The 'ford engine code reader' that they sell at wal mart. has a function that lets you test ABS codes. All it is is 2 switches, a light and a buzzer. Cheep lil 15 dollar device but it works and it can help you a lot if you don't know which jumpers to short. Pull the codes from your abs diag connector. (Driver's side of the engine compartment near the windshield.) and take it from there.
