Im new to the board and Ive got a 99 sho and Im having the tranny fluid changed.Ive heard about aamco transmission performing a "power purge" which I guess replaces all your tranny/converter fluid.Anyone ever had this done?I dont want to screw anything up, trannys for these things are a little pricey. Thanks!

It's basically a fancy fluid transfer station which utilizes the ATX's own internal pump to change the fluid. It's usually connected inline with the cooler hoses.

agreed.. on most autos once they get to a certain milage they begin to rely on the clutch pack dust and such in the fluid to continue functioning :)

You might as well do it your self. Easy to do but can be a bit messy. Doing it your self will also get the filter changed if you want.

The power flushing places will not change the filter but just replace your fluid. If this is what you want to do is even easier to do at home and not messy at all. GoTo http://www.v8sho.com/SHO/atxfluid.html

I would suggest a synthetic tranny fluid and an ATX cooler.

How does a BG flush differ? Does it use it's own pump?
