Curious to know what is your tach reading when in over drive. I have two ATX cars. One is the little woman's, a 95 ATX and I own a 93 ATX. Now when I drive the 93, the tach reads almost 2500 rpms at 70 miles per hour and when I drive the 95, the tach on her car reads about 2100 to 2200 at the same speed. Is this normal? Got a chance to buy a trans out of a 95 and thinking of picking it up and try a rebuild on it. Pull my 93 trans out and put the 95 in and maybe I will get 2200 RPM's out of it.

Never thought of it but no. Just looked and both have 16 inch tires. One has 215 and the other has 225 but are both 16 inchers.

Opps, I should have better explained which tires are on which car. The 225's are on my 93 and the 215's are on the 95 which gets the 2200 rpm's . Weird huh?

The 93 ATX I updated the computer to a 95 that I bought from someone here on the forum. I could put the old one back in to see if that makes a difference. As for the lock up, I think it locks up. You can hit the over drive button and the tach will jump up over 3000 rpm'***** the button again and the tach drops to 2500.
