Just trying to clear up some confusion. I will say right now that if anyone starts name-calling and bashing people, this thread will be gone faster than your SHO can reach 60mph.
With that said...
Chris has stepped down as vice president of FSHOC. To make a long story short, a few people had a few too many beers at the last meet and one of those people started an argument for no good reason. A couple of people started fighting but it was broken up pretty quickly and as far as I know, no one was hurt. I haven't talked to Chris or Jason Z. since that weekend. Chris won't return mine or Nick's phone calls or PM's. So I assume he's done with FSHOC period and is not interested in making ammends with anyone, which is unfortunate. I just want him to know (if he does read this) that he's still welcome here by all means, and we have no hard feelings whatsoever. I guess some people just take longer to cool off than others...
The good news is me and Nick aren't going anywhere. At this point everything is under control and I don't see a need for anyone to step up to Chris's position within the club. We are pretty much "owned and operated" by our members anyway. As for me, I'm going to make more of an effort to make it to some meets down south since a lot of you are down that way. Our busy season at work is coming to an end so I'll have a little bit more free time. As always, if you have any suggestions for meets, please do speak up and we'll work on it. I'm not sure how many of you are planning on attending the convention this summer, but we will try to put something fun together for those that can't make it.
At this point I'm going to go ahead and call off the meet June 16-17 at Gainesville. I don't think there was going to be much of a turnout from FSHOC anyway. If you still want to go, by all means, go for it... it's just no longer going to be an official meet. I was supposed to buy a spot off of Chris but since he won't get in touch with me, I'm assuming I no longer have a spot and I don't have any clue if he's still racing or not. We were the only ones from FSHOC that were supposed to be racing that weekend.
Now back to your regularly scheduled program...
