I am dropping a lower mileage 3.2 into my SHO and have a few questions for you guys. The motor has 132xxx on it presently. I will be doing all the seals and rod bearings on it before it goes in. With the new availablity of HG's, should I pull the heads and have them resurfaced and put back on with new HG's or just leave well enough alone? Also, since I have it apart I am going to be putting 3.0 cams in it, the tensioners are in great condition, move completely up and down with no internal binding or the such. The chains are tight and show no signs of problems. Should I replace the two chains since I will have it apart, or just leave those in there?

Also, how can I take these tensioners apart and clean them?

Thanx, Doug

I would leave well enough alone. The new HG are still close to $300, aren't they? As far as the tensioners I don't know how to clean them...

Leave it alone..

Worst case you spend the $300 later but leave it be for now.

Get the motor in and running first.
