A/C work

Thanks to those that lended a hand (Murphy, Don, Martin)...et al.

After seeing the extensive labor required, the deal I was quoted from my own place of business doesn't seem too bad. I didn't think a $47/hr labor rate and parts at cost +10% could in no way equal over $1100 bucks, but every possible part is toast and it looks like a PITA job. As well, it's still got R-12....

Ah well....thanks for the vent-session...

if it's still got R12 in the system (probably does if the compressor was making racket and cycling), then they shouldn't charge you for 2 lbs of R12 since they can claim it and recycle it.

I tried callin today but you were 'away from your desk' bahh, I know what you were doing...

A/C on blue92

Yea I just paid $1084. to fix the A/C on blue92. The place that did the work is right around the corner from Tony's. Blue92 is just too damm fun to drive not fix it. Murphy and I look at it this way blue92 is good now for another 120k before I should have to do any more A/C work. They replaced the air compressor with a brand new one, and replaced all the lines and evaporator. Tony checked it out yesterday and said the work looked good.
