Ok.. I need to know how to get this A/C compressor out on a 93 ATX. I am changing it tonight and it looks tough. It doesnt look like it will come out the bottom due to the lines running under it and the bit brace that holds the motor and stuff. But comeing out the top looks pretty tough as well. Which way is easier? Or is there a write up on this someplace that I missed?

Remove the battery, battery tray, alternator, radiator overflow bottle, disconnect the refrigerant lines from the compressor, and you should be able to just remove the bolts holding it in and lift it right out. There are two bolts that hold in each line at the compressor.....10MM I believe.

removing the fans help alot too. The ATX sits closer to the radiator than the MTX.

All in all, after watching someone do it to my car, I could probably do it again myself and will actually be attempting it soon enough...

Cool.. Thanks.. Figured it wasnt too bad after looking at the top end there. I need to change the radiator with the one from my other SHO so that may make it easier to do both at once.

Got the old compressor out and the new one in, in less than 2 hours. Not near as bad as I expected. I did find a few metal shavings in the line so I am going to have to have the system flushed before we can fill it but it wasnt too bad at all. Thanks for the help guys.
